Physicians may enter a Sleep Medicine Fellowship program after completion of an accredited residency program with Board Certification in Internal Medicine-Pulmonology, Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatrics or Psychiatry.
To be qualified to take the Philippine Board of Sleep Medicine, the candidate will need to have graduated from a full year PSSM accredited sleep medicine training program or from a six month international accredited sleep medicine fellowship training program.
Currently, there are four accredited training institutions for Sleep Medicine Fellowship Training in the country: Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Heart Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center (Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City) and The Medical City. These four pillars are committed to training the future Sleep Specialists in the Country with the end goal of providing excellent sleep healthcare to every Filipino.
