Employee Wellness Program

Employee Wellness is not just a benefit, it is an investment in the heart of the most important asset in the organization, the people.

PSSM promotes employee wellness through educational initiatives and partnerships. A recent example is a corporate wellness program that included a webinar with 2024 PSSM President Dr. Rodolfo “Jun” V. Dizon, Jr., focusing on sleep hygiene, circadian rhythms, and practical tips for better sleep to improve energy and cognitive function. The program also featured a “Dare to Be Well Challenge” to encourage sustainable sleep habits, supported by resources like the ATOMS app.

Key components of employee wellness programs promoted by PSSM

  • Professional Development: PSSM hosts annual conventions and other events for healthcare professionals to advance the field of sleep medicine through discussions, lectures, and workshops.

  • Educational Webinars: Sessions led by sleep experts that cover topics like circadian rhythms, environmental factors, strategic napping, and sleep mastery, often with opportunities for participants to win sleep-related wellness items.

  • “Dare to Be Well Challenge”: A program that encourages employees to adopt and maintain new sleep-improving routines, often with support from habit-tracking apps.

  • Weekly Wellness Tips: Regular sharing of practical advice on sleep hygiene and other wellness topics to help employees maintain energy levels and cognitive function.

  • Partnerships: Collaboration with companies and other organizations to implement wellness programs. For example, PSSM’s work with DCX PH Inc.

A workplace wellness program is a suite of resources that organizations make available to employees to support their overall health and wellbeing. When employees feel cared for, they thrive and so does the entire workplace
