Drowsy Driving. To address the growing number of road accidents caused by drowsy driving, the PSSM has launched the ‘Drowsy Driving Prevention’ campaign with the slogan “TABI MUNA!” Tabi muna, in English which means pull-over to the side. The campaign is a public awareness and road safety initiative that educates people about the dangers of driving while fatigued. It encourages individuals to get adequate sleep before driving and to recognize signs of drowsiness to prevent accidents, which are often compared to drunk and distracted driving. This event is inspired by the US National Sleep Foundation (NSF) campaign on Drowsy Driving Prevention, the PSSM is adapting a similar initiative to create awareness about the importance of sleep and educating every Filipino driver about the dangers of fatigue and promote safe behavior on the road.
